Noel Taplin - Chairman of the Board

Mr. Noel Taplin began his working life in the Glenelg business (founded by Mr. Wilfred E. Taplin) in 1940. He subsequently accomplished the successful opening of an Adelaide Office in 1948 and co-founded Taplin Corporation Pty Ltd.

A personal aspiration of Mr. Noel Taplin in the key area of his life was an avowed interest to perceive and then translate into action the thoughts of planning and owning a Community Shopping Centre.

His wide business background, academic qualifications and personal creation skills resulted in the construction of eleven centres, with the retail complex at Mitcham and Marden being a lasting memorial and legacy to his initiatives.

He became a licensed Land Broker in 1947, a Justice of the Peace in 1950, a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Australia in 1962, a Registered Manager and Licensed Valuer in 1965, an Auctioneer in 1968, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors in 1973 and Certified Real Estate Institute Member in 1991.

He was Managing Director of Taplin Corporation Pty Ltd from its foundation and became Chairman in 1984, as well as being Managing Director of all subsidiary companies from inception until 2005 when the role of Managing Director was handed over to Mr. Andrew Taplin.

Andrew Taplin - Managing Director

Introduced to Real Estate at any early age Andrew Taplin is based at the Glenelg Office and is Managing Director of Taplin Group of Companies.

He recognises the importance of efficient Property Management and Sales and has made a concerted effort to provide specialised and personal service in the field of investment and development of real property core assets. He is primarily involved in the leasing, sales and management of shopping centres, office buildings, residential properties and commercial retail and industrial properties.

A member of the Real Estate Institute of South Australian since 1986, Fellow of Institute of Directors in Australia since 1988. Holds a current Land Agents Licence and is adverse in all aspects of property management since 1988.
